Healthy Breakfast
 
1 cup Organic Rolled Oats
2 cups spring water ½-1 cup fat free dry milk powder
2 tbsp whole ground flaxseed meal
1 tbsp Whole Psyllium Husks
1 tbsp Carb Cycling Diet whey protein
1 teaspoon Sucanat (Brown Sugar)
 
Bring water to boil. Add all ingredients except sucanat and whole husk. Mix thoroughly. Cook for 1 minute. Add sucanat and whole husks. Mix. As alternative use raisins, dry fruits or honey.
 
Teriyaki or Garlic Tofu
 
Firm Tofu, Teriyaki sauce, Garlic, Roasted (or marinated) pepper,
Onion(1 small),
Olive oil
All you do for Teriyaki Tofu is get some sauce and coat the tofu with the sauce and bake in a 400 degree oven for 10 to 15 minutes until golden brown, remove and chill. You can put some more Teriyaki sauce to your taste. Once chilled slice and serve with salad. As for the Garlic Tofu, this is done pretty much the same way with a little twist if you have time. The twist would be the oil used for the tofu, this would be garlic oil, in which you brown garlic cloves in olive oil and reserve the oil to coat the tofu. The garlic you can use as garnish. So we have the oil now, next you need fresh chopped garlic (cut in long strips), some sliced onions (fry onion on the pan until become soft), and a roasted pepper (1 medium roasted or marinated pepper (rinse a marinade from the pepper)). You may say to yourself, why don't I use the roasted garlic? Well, that has already been roasted so it would burn and become bitter when roasted in the oven with the tofu. O.K. so we have our stuff, now, make a few cuts on the surface of each tofu with tip of the knife and insert pieces of garlic inside. Place onions and pepper on your tofu along with the oil and place in a 400 degree oven for 10 to 15 minutes until it is a nice golden color. Remove and serve chilled.
 
Tofu Shake
 
Organic Silken Tofu 2 boxes (1 lb each)
Raspberries 6 oz
Blueberries 4 oz
1 tbsp Carb Cycling Diet Whey Protein
½ cup Honey (optional)
 
Put ingredients in blender. Mix for 1 minute. Makes 2 servings.

Beans Saute
 
Ingredients: 1 lb. Black, red and white beans (Goya brand preferred) Water 2 onions 1 red pepper 1 medium carrot 2 cups eggplant, diced (optional) 1/2 cup olive oil 4 garlic cloves, minced Salt to taste Black pepper to taste Oregano to taste - about 2 tsp 2 T. vino seco (dry white wine) Direction: 1. Soak the beans overnight, if possible. The next day, drain and put fresh water in the pot. (This helps reduce the, um, flatulence factor.) Bring the beans to a rolling boil. Add 1 large onion (cut into ¼’s) and ½ of a red pepper. Make sure the beans are covered by water, 1/2 inch above the beans, or they will discolor and get hard. Boil the beans for about 15 minutes, until the beans are tender but not falling apart. OR with a Pressure Cooker: Cook beans in a pressure cooker for 10 minutes. Start the timer after it reaches it's boil (you can hear the sound). Remove from heat and allow to cool off before opening the cooker. (Read your owners manual for directions.) Once beans are soft, proceed to the next step: 2. In a food processor chop the remaining onion,carrot, garlic and red pepper. 3. Sauté the onion mixture and eggplant in the olive oil 4. When onion becomes transparent, add to the sauté the oregano, and Sauté for about 5 minutes. 5. Add the sauté to the beans and continue to cook. * If you want the beans with more liquid, remain covered. If you want the beans thicker, remove the cover. Check every 5 minutes or so and check the consistency. 6. Add the dry white wine, salt and Pepper and cook for 15-25 minutes or until beans reach the desired thickness. 7. Garnish with fresh cilantro when serving.
 
Jell-O-ooooooo
 
1 teaspoon of agar powder
2 cups of frozen cherries
300 ml spring water
 
Bring water to boil. Add 1 teaspoon of agar, cherries and mix it thoroughly while water is boiling on low hit for 1 minute. Cool and serve with light whipped cream.
Serves 2
