As a result they are in a worse situation than before the diet: during the dieting phase there is muscle loss, which has caused their body's Daily Calorie Needs(DCN) to diminish. Now, when they return to normal eating, there is a surplus of calories, which will cause them to gain weight even more quickly than before! This is because the body deposits that surplus in fat. Result: they end up with less muscle but more fat. Do it a few times and you can become an obese person, as the cycle worsens. So, what is the solution?
